Dominican military was apprehended with 63 packages of cocaine

3 May, Santo Domingo (Prensa Latina) In a raid organized by the Prosecutor’s Office, members of the Dominican Army, National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), and Law Enforcement arrested a military man with 63 packages of cocaine.

The detainee, Major Llency Ramón Mercedes, a DNCD associate, has been pursued by intelligence services for days because of the illicit business he conducted in San Juan de la Maguana.

In the detainee’s vehicle, authorities discovered cocaine, a gun, 5,640 pesos (roughly US $ 98), a cell phone, personal papers, and other physical proof.
